Home Emergency Membership Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the Home Emergency Membership Plan provided by HomeSureNi Ltd ("the Company"). Membership is available to residential properties located within County Armagh only.

1A. Membership Service Not Insurance

The HomeSureNi Ltd Home Emergency Membership Plan is a maintenance and emergency assistance service and is not an insurance policy. Customers should maintain appropriate buildings and contents insurance. Membership does not provide compensation for property damage, loss, theft or consequential losses.

2. Membership Fees

  • £17.00 per month by recurring payment.
  • £184.00 per year when paid annually.
  • Membership cover is only valid while payments remain up to date.

2A. Annual Membership Option

The annual membership fee is £184.00 and provides 12 months of membership cover. Annual membership fees are non-refundable after any applicable cooling-off period except where required by law.

3. Membership Term

Membership is subject to a minimum term of 12 months from the commencement date. Following the initial 12-month period, membership continues on a rolling monthly basis unless cancelled with 30 days written notice.

4. Waiting Period

A waiting period of 30 days applies from the date membership commences. No claims or covered callouts may be made during the first 30 days.

5. Cover Limits

  • Up to 6 callouts per membership year.
  • Labour cover up to £250 per incident.
  • Emergency and non-emergency callout services.
  • One annual visual electrical safety inspection.
  • Labour above £250 per incident will be charged at standard rates. Parts, materials, equipment hire and specialist subcontractor costs are not included.

6. Emergency Callouts

Emergency issues include burst pipes, significant leaks, complete loss of power, complete loss of heating, or any issue presenting an immediate risk to health, safety or property. Emergency attendance will normally be within 48 hours where reasonably practicable.

7. Non-Emergency Callouts

Non-emergency callouts will normally be attended within 7 working days.

8. Covered Services

Plumbing systems, heating systems (excluding boilers) and electrical systems.

9. Exclusions

Boiler repairs, parts, materials, cosmetic repairs, new installations, upgrades, commercial properties, insurance reports, misuse, negligence, illegal installations and consequential losses.

10. Pre-Existing Faults

Pre-existing faults and faults arising during the 30-day waiting period are not covered.

11. Annual Electrical Safety Inspection

This is a visual inspection only and is not an EICR. Any remedial works identified will be chargeable separately.

12. Customer Responsibilities

Customers must provide safe access, accurate information and take reasonable steps to minimise damage.

13. Fair Usage

Repeated callouts for the same unresolved fault may be treated as a single incident. Abuse or fraudulent use may result in refusal of cover.

14. Cancellation

Customers may cancel with 30 days written notice. If cancellation occurs within the initial 12-month term, the remaining balance of the 12-month membership period remains payable.

15. Company Termination Rights

The Company may terminate membership for non-payment, fraud, abuse of the service or repeated refusal of access.

16. Limitation of Liability

The Company is not liable for loss of earnings, alternative accommodation, business interruption or indirect losses.

17. Changes to Terms

The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions upon reasonable notice.

18. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland.
